As COVID-19 has turned everyone’s lives upside down, it has also affected our plans for 2020. We were looking forward to welcoming new and old talents and facilitators to an exciting event this year, but given the restraints that COVID-19 puts on both travel and the risks associated with large gatherings, we are moving all events online for this year and postponing the innovation lab. Moving UNLEASH online in 2020 allows for us to involve and connect with global talents in new ways. Therefore, we are happy to announce that new programs will be taking place this year and that we are launching our Hacks! The Hacks are local hackathons organized by UNLEASH alumni, but open for participation from new talents! This is an amazing opportunity for creating connections in your country, while also hacking for solutions to help reach the SDGs. Applications will open from August, so follow our channels or sign-up here for news at www.unleash.org. UNLEASH will also be building out our online community and look forward secure that connections are leveraged and that our talent can find support both locally and internationally – as well as launch more exciting programs during the year, so stay tuned! #UNLEASH2020
Everything You Need to Know About Gitcoin
What is Gitcoin? Gitcoin is an open-source bounties platform on the Ethereum blockchain. We facilitate a space that allows open source developers to get paid for their work contributing to open source projects and in return, the open-source projects get exposure to a vast community of hard-working developers they might not have had otherwise. We are a mission-driven project whose primary goal is to grow the open-source community by allowing for better-incentivized collaboration in the realm of open-source software. One thing that you will notice after exploring Gitcoin is that there is no token for the Gitcoin ecosystem. We support all ERC20 tokens in an effort to promote Ethereum as a whole. Valley View University Students answer questions on COVID 19. A must read case study for all.
Going to school is the best public policy tool available to raise skills. While school time can be fun and can raise social skills and social awareness, from an economic point of view the primary point of being in school is that it increases a child’s ability. Even a relatively short time in school does this; even a relatively short period of missed school will have consequences for skill growth. Most governments around the world have temporarily closed educational institutions in an attempt to contain the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic. These nationwide closures are impacting over 91% of the world’s student population. Several other countries have implemented localized closures impacting millions of additional learners. In Ghana one of the popular ways adopted by various universities is through the use of ZOOM software. Most of the End of Semester Exams are current been given to the students as Take-Home Assignment. One of such assignment sighted by Gift-Tech Media is a Velley View University, Take Home Assignment on Principles of Marketing (DMKT250) by Mr. Adu Kyeremeh Kwabena, Lecturer. Not only did Covid-19 turn the End of Semester Examination into Take Home Assignment but have actually fine it self in the main case study and questions of the said paper. Below is the full Take Home Assignment sighted by Gift-Tech Media.
